Who will be next South Indian Super Star after RAJINIKANTH

                                      RAJINIKANTH

                                                                   the name is enough.........

Rajinikanth has been called the most popular Indian film actor of his time. Rajinikanth's popularity has been attributed to "his uniquely styled dialogues and idiosyncrasies in films, as well as his political statements and philanthropy". Many also cite reasons for Rajinikanth's popularity as coming from his larger-than-life super-hero appearance in many films, supported by gravity-defying stunts and charismatic expressions, all while attempting to maintain modesty in real-life. Almost every film of Rajinikanth has punchlines delivered by him in an inimitable style, and these punchlines often have a message or even to warn the film's antagonists. These dialogues are usually fabricated to create new ones or even taken in a comical way, but do not fail to create a sense of entertainment among viewers. It is suggested by the media that some popular actors who worked with Rajinikanth  were recognised because of their association with Rajinikanth, giving other aspiring actors the urge to work with him. Some fellow actors, such as Cho Ramaswamy, have commentated that Rajinikanth has the potential to be successful in Indian politics due to his popularity and fan base alone.

During a visit to Japan in 2006, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh acknowledged the success of Muthu in the country during a speech, justifying the positive relationship between the two nations. Muthu is the highest grosser in Japan after Titanic. Chandramukhi is notable for being the longest-running Tamil film in India, playing for a total of over 800 days. Sivaji was instrumental in making one of the largest releases for an Indian film in the world; the film entered the list of top ten films of the United Kingdom upon release. Chandramukhi and Sivaji were also released in South Africa, where they eventually became high box-office grossers. In December 2010, it was reported that students of the post-graduate management program at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad would use Enthiran as a case study to analyse the business of cinema and its success story, as part of an elective course called Contemporary Film Industry: A Business Perspective. The course would also study Muthu.

Rajinikanth is the highest paid actor in Asia next to Jackie Chan. Only in Tamil Nadu he has 34,000 fans associations. Now the question all over is who will be the South Indian Super Star after RAJINI???????

Here are few names from South India who are the tough contenders for SUPER STAR position........Of course no one can  replace RAJINI. But the discussion is about who can reach the NO 1 position after him in South India. Here are the names of the contenders.

                                            AJITH KUMAR

Ajith Kumar who is also called as “THALA(Leader)” and  “ULTIMATE STAR” by his fans.

Ajith Kumar (born 1 May 1971) is an Indian film actor who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He began his career as a supporting actor in a Telugu film before gaining critical recognition in the Tamil movie Aasai (1995). A succession of high-grossing films followed where Ajith was usually depicted as a romantic hero, with Kadhal Kottai (1996), Aval Varuvala (1998), Kadhal Mannan (1998) and Unnai Thedi (1999) being the most notable. He later forayed into method acting, as seen in Vaali (1999), Mugavaree (2000), Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000) and Citizen (2001) before establishing himself as an action hero with popular films including  Villain.

In 2007 Ajith starred in Billa, a remake of the 1980 Rajinikanth starrer of the same name, which became a blockbuster. The Vishnuvardhan directorial fetched critical praise for Ajith, becoming a trend-setter for stylish movies in India. Billa featured Ajith in dual roles one of a notorious don whilst the other played an innocent person who had to act as the don, following the former's death.

In 2012 Ajith signed up to star in a film directed by Venkat Prabhu, titled Mankatha(Gambler), which notably became his 50th project. The film featured him in a full-length negative role as Vinayak Mahadevan, a suspended police officer who lusts after money. His performance and his decision to portray a character with negative shades, breaking the stereotype hero image in Tamil cinema, were lauded by critics, with reviewers from Sify and Rediff terming the film as an "out and out Ajith film" that worked "only because of Ajith". Heaping praise on the actor's performance, the former noted that he "rocks as the man with ice in his veins as the mean and diabolic cop" and that he played "the emotionless bad man, to perfection", while the latter wrote that he had "carried practically the whole film on his capable shoulders". Mankatha brought Ajith Kumar his best ever opening in his career and went on to become a financially successful venture as well.

He has won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards in Tamil, all for films which showcased him in multiple roles. Ajith performs predominantly in leading roles in major studio films, genres ranging from romantic comedies and drama to action thrillers. In addition to his acting, Ajith, in a sabbatical, participated in the 2004 British Formula Three season as a race driver for a minor outfit, and was ranked the third best motor car driver in India at his peak. Ajith remains a popular figure in the media of Tamil Nadu.

He rejected  blockbuster films namely Saamy(Lakshmi Narasimha in telugu), Kaakha Kaakha (Gharshana) and Ghajini were turned away by the actor due to various reasons.

Ajith Kumar competing in the final round of the MRF racing series (2010) in ChennaiAjith is a keen race car driver and has driven in circuits around India in places such as Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. Ajith is one among very few Indians to race in International arena and only Indian actor to compete in Formula championships. He drove in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championships.

    1. Is Chiranjeevi a bigger star than Rajini. If yes then people will be competing for his spot.. Rajini is the biggest star in South India irrespective of the language. Like the way NTR was the biggest star during his time. MGR was there but even he wasn't as popular as NTR. So there is nothing wrong in listing Telugu actors here..
